I feel incredibly blessed to have so many wonderful memories of Christmases past. Time spent with family, glittering decorations, festive foods, exchanging gifts with loved ones -when I think of Christmas, these are the sights and sounds and that come to mind. Unfortunately, for many, the holidays are a reality of overwhelming bills, tough decisions, and somber Christmas mornings.
I grew up supporting CFAX Santas Anonymous, and can vividly remember the annual tradition of carefully looking for a bear on the tree at the mall (I'd always try to find a little boy my exact age who wanted a toy that I too would love to receive on Christmas morning), followed by a relentless search for that exact gift. My mom and I would then meticulously wrap the present (it was mostly my mom's handiwork), and return it to the volunteers. When I awoke on the 25th, my thoughts would be with that other boy who I imagined would be opening my special gift at that very moment, and I hoped that the toy would be one of the highlights of his year.
I now directly volunteer with the organization, and have done so for several years. I have witnessed first-hand the massive impact that the charity makes which is why I will be donating $1,000 of toys to CFAX Santas Anonymous for every listing or buyer contract that my clients sign by December 3lst of this year.*
If you or someone you know are considering buying or selling a home, please, reach out! You'll be well looked-after, and you'll be helping to make Christmas brighter for dozens of families!
*The contracts can be future-dated, so I'm more than happy to work off of your timeline.
